Pressing the Spacebar to Enter?? *Applies to: AutoCAD R12, 13, 14, 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004 and 2005*
Many new individuals to AutoCAD are often confused by the title
of this tip when you bring it up, but for the ones of use that have
been around for a while it's a quick and fast way to use the {ENTER}
key without event using it. In AutoCAD the Spacebar on the
keyboard acts like the {ENTER} key to quickly answer default questions
at the command line or to repeat the last command. The only exception
to this rule is at a prompt where AutoCAD expects a text string for
commands such as Dtext, Dimensions and Leaders. But these are
the exceptions to the rule. So press the Spacebar instead of the
{ENTER} key when possible. This will help to keep your hand in
the middle of the keyboard allow faster access to the command line and
the command aliases.
