Turning off/on the Double Click Edit feature
*Applies to: AutoCAD 2000i, 2002, 2004 and 2005*

With the introduction of AutoCAD 2000i came an easier means of editing objects with in the drawing.  Even though this was a welcomed feature for most users, some didn't like it.  So if you would like to turn off the double click and edit feature of AutoCAD follow the command line prompts below to toggle the state of this feature or if you have found that this feature has been turned off by a different user you can get it back on.

Command Line:
Command: dblclkedit
Enter double-click editing mode [ON/OFF] <ON>: off
   - or -
Enter double-click editing mode [ON/OFF] <OFF>: on
