Different Methods of Coordinates update in the Status Bar
*Applies to: AutoCAD R13, 14, 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004 and 2005*

If you would like to see the Status Bar updated as you use Commands with coordinates you can do one of three things.

First if you would like the Coordinate display is updated as you specify points with the pointing device you would type in at the command prompt COORDS then hit {ENTER}. Then you would enter a 0 for the value.

Second if you would like to Display the absolute coordinates for continuously updated you would type in at the command prompt COORDS then hit {ENTER}. Then you would enter a 1 for the value.

Third is if you would like to Display the absolute coordinates for continuously updated, and distance and angle from last point are displayed when a distance or angle is requested you would type in at the command prompt COORDS then hit {ENTER}. Then you would enter a 2 for the value.

You should find that these different methods should help when you are using coordinates as a place for displacement or even just checking the distances between objects.
