Tip and Trick Detail
Accessing the Command History Buffer with the Arrow Keys
*Applies to: AutoCAD R14, 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004 and 2005*

Do you ever remember using the DOSKeys function for DOS?  If you don't you should still find this of benefit.  In AutoCAD R14 and up Autodesk has created an on going command buffer that allows us the user to go back in history and recall some of the most recent commands.  You can use either the Up or Down arrow keys to move backwards or forwards in the command buffer.  Also with the introduction of AutoCAD 2000 you could right mouse click on the command line and bring up a popup menu that you could access some of the past commands in the buffer.
