Getting Help from AutoCAD the simple way
*Applies to: AutoCAD R12, 13, 14, 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004 and 2005*

You can quickly get help from AutoCAD by pressing the F1 key, but below are some quicker ways to help you find the answer that you are looking for.

1.)  If you start a command up like the LINE command, while the command is running you can ask AutoCAD for help on the command that is active by pressing the F1 key at this time.  It will bring up the topic for that command in the help window.  No more long and tired some searches.

2.)  If you activate the pull down (i.e. Insert), and while that main pull down caption is active you can press the F1 key for help on the items that are contained in the pull down.  This is a great way to get familiar with the AutoCAD software when you are new to it.
