Tip and Trick Detail
AutoCAD R2004 Easter Egg
*Applies to: AutoCAD 2004*

Traditionally, software has some type of hidden feature or a message from the developers hidden in it. This hidden message is what is known as an Easter Egg (hidden from all until found). Here is how you can get your hands on it.

Step 1 -  Launch AutoCAD R2004.

Step 2 -  Select the Format pull down (or menubar) and select Color... .

Step 3 -  Activate the ACI tab with in the Color Dialog box.

Step 4 -  Hold down the Ctrl key and double click with the left mouse button over the color box of 152.  It will launch an additional dialog box titled AutoCAD 2004 Credits with the Easter Egg in it.  Make sure you turn up the speakers on your computer.  The credits of people that helped out on the AutoCAD 2004 application are listed.  If you watch the whole thing you will also notice some of the names listed as Gold and Beta sites.

Keyboard
"Y" key - Replays the Cheers that you hear at the opening of the Easter Egg.

"4" key (or Num Locks On and "4") - Toggles through some lighting and confetti volcano options.

"ESC" key - Exits the Window.

"Enter" key (or Spacebar) - Restarts the Credits

Mouse Buttons

Middle - Clicking and dragging with the Middle mouse button allows the scene in the background to be panned.

Right - Clicking and dragging with the Right mouse button allows the scene in the background to be zoomed in and out.
