Zoom to the maximum limits with in AutoCAD
*Applies to: AutoCAD R12, 13, 14, 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004 and 2005*

There is a Zoom option that has gone lost since the days of R13. This Zoom option is called VMAX, and stands for Zoom to the Virtual screen Maximum limit. To access this command start up the Zoom command and type in the option V for VMAX. This will cause AutoCAD to zoom out the the maximum size of the screen without causing a regeneration. This option works much faster and more fluently than Zoom All or Extents.

Command Line (R2000, 2000i , 2002 and 2004):
Command: Zoom
Specify corner of window, enter a scale factor (nX or nXP), or
[All/Center/Dynamic/Extents/Previous/Scale/Window] <real time>: V

Command Line (R14):
Command: Zoom
All/Center/Dynamic/Extents/Previous/Scale(X/XP)/Window/<Realtime>: V

Command Line (R12 and 13):
Command: Zoom
All/Center/Dynamic/Extents/Left/Previous/Vmax/Window/<Scale(X/XP)>: V
