Improving Regeneration through Zoom option Vmax - Part 3 *Applies to: AutoCAD R12, 13, 14, 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004 and 2005*
By using the Vmax option of Zoom command on your drawing, you can
create a virtual area for your drawing. This forces AutoCAD to
hold more information about the display for the drawing in
memory. So when you perform a Zoom Extents on your drawing it
will not cause a regeneration or one that doesn't take as long.
The Vmax option generates a virtual limits inside of AutoCAD which are
greater than the Zoom All option. If these virtual limits are
exceeded you will need to use the Zoom Vmax command combination once
again.
